At Unspoiler, our philosophy is simple: we protect you from sports spoilers, not exploit your personal data. Unspoiler is built from the ground up as a silent, on-device utility. We do not sell your personal data, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not profile your behavior.
1. Zero Tracking & No Data Selling
- No Third-Party Trackers: Unspoiler contains zero third-party advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, or cross-app surveillance frameworks.
- No Data Brokerage: We do not sell, rent, monetize, or trade any personal information to data brokers or marketers under any circumstances.
- No Account Required: You do not need to register an account, provide an email address, or create a password to use Unspoiler.
2. Apple Screen Time & FamilyControls Framework
Unspoiler uses Apple's official FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, and ManagedSettingsUI frameworks to temporarily shield spoiler-heavy social media feeds during live matches.
- 100% On-Device Processing: When you select apps to shield, Apple's
FamilyControlssecurely tokenizes your selection. - Complete Developer Blindness: By Apple's design, third-party developers cannot read, view, log, or export which specific apps you have selected. Neither Unspoiler nor any external server ever knows which apps are installed on your device.
- Zero Usage Monitoring: Unspoiler cannot and does not monitor your browsing history, message contents, screen time minutes, or app usage telemetry.
3. Apple EventKit & Calendar Access
If you opt into Unspoiler's Smart Calendar Shield feature, the app requests access to your iOS Calendar via Apple's EventKit framework.
- Zero Transmission: Calendar event titles, attendees, notes, and locations are evaluated strictly in local memory and are never transmitted off your device.
- Matchday Booking: When you tap "Add Blackout to Calendar," Unspoiler writes a calendar slot marking you as "Busy" with alarms silenced to prevent premature alert spoilers.
- Revoking Permission: You can revoke Calendar access at any time via iOS Settings -> Unspoiler -> Calendars.
4. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions
Payments and subscriptions (e.g., Unspoiler Pro) are processed exclusively through Apple's StoreKit 2 and your Apple ID account. Unspoiler does not collect, receive, or store your credit card details or billing address.
